The Best Looks From the WNBA All-Star Weekend
The WNBA All-Star game took place this weekend in Arizona, where team WNBA — a roster of all-stars who aren’t on the Olympic team, including star rookies Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese — beat out Team USA 117-109. It was one of the last times we’ll see Team USA’s Brittney Griner, Sabrina Ionescu, Kelsey Plum, Diana Taurasi, A’ja Wilson, and Breanna Stewart play Stateside before they jet off to the 2024 Paris Olympics, which start Friday.
It’s been a record-breaking season for women’s basketball viewership, and the past weekend was bigger and more fashionable than ever. Game attendees included WNBA regulars like Sue Bird, Megan Rapinoe, and Jason Sudeikis, who all sported their typical courtside attire. Aubrey Plaza spiced things up with a baseball cap and an ice bag; according to Arizona Republic, she tore her ACL during a game of knockout earlier in the day.
And, in what is perhaps a nod to gender parity, Pitbull was also present. Early last week, Mr. Worldwide announced he’d be performing during half-time of the sold-out show, saying, “I was raised by a woman and a woman made me a man. It’s an honor to make history and perform at the @WNBA All-Star Game.” It was a performance worth watching. With all eyes on the league, it’s no surprise the athletes are showing up on the red carpet and courtside dressed to the tens. Here are all the best looks from the WNBA All-Star weekend.
