Deadpool & Wolverine is back, baby. After a week of Alien: Romulus chest-bursting onto the top of the box office, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are back at number 1 earning $18.3 million this weekend at the domestic box office. Behind them is Alien Romulus with $16.3 million, then It Ends With Us with $11.9 mil. Channing Tatum has two spots in the top 5, as Blink Twice debuted at number 4 with a weekend gross of $7.3 million. So he’s a secondary hero at number 1 and a villain at number 4. Finishing off the top 5 is religious flick The Forge with an irreligious weekend take-home of $6.6.
Not quite managing to peck into the top 5 is Lionsgate’s reboot of The Crow at number 8. Starring Bill Skarsgård as the titular spirit of vengeance, The Crow only managed $4.6. Critics have been less than kind to the effort, with Vulture’s own Alison Willmore saying the film’s heroes seem “modeled after Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox.†This reboot of The Crow has been trying to take flight for 15 years, and it immediately got shot down again.
