The Secretary of State for Culture Media and Sport, John Whittingdale, today announced in the House confirmation of the decision to cease Government funding for the over-75s TV licence concession. BBC Trust Chairman Rona Fairhead has today written to the Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Secretary of State.
