Dentist: Dia duit. Cad é atá ort?
1. Say that you broke your tooth.
Dentist: Cad é an dóigh a ndearna tú sin?
2. Say that you hit your mouth on the table in school.
Dentist: Cad é ba mhaith leat?
3. Say that you would like to make an appointment.
Dentist: Tá go maith. Tá coinne agam an tseachtain seo chugainn.
4. Ask if is there an appointment today because it is very sore.
Dentist: Níl ach tá ceann ann maidin amárach ar leath i ndiaidh a hocht.
5. Say that would be excellent and thank him.
1. Bhris mé m’fhiacail. – I broke my tooth.
2. Bhuail mé mo bhéal ar an tábla ar scoil. – I hit my mouth on the table in school.
3. Ba mhaith liom coinne a dhéanamh. – I would like to make an appointment.
4. An bhfuil coinne ann inniu mar tá sé iontach nimhneach? – It is very sore, is there an appointment today?
5. Tá / Bheadh sin ar dóigh. Go raibh maith agat. – That would be excellent. Thank you.
