Putting verbs in the future tense
Here are some examples of English A word used to describe an action or state of being. which have been put into the future tense: I will go, he will put, Seán will clean, they will eat.
Step 1
To put a verb into the future tense in Irish, remove the ending –igh/aigh/ai/i, if there is one.

- Add fidh to short slender verbs.
- Add faidh to short broad verbs.
- Add eoidh to long / syncopated slender verbs.
- Add óidh to long / syncopated broad verbs.

Step 3
Add the The name of a thing such as an object, a place or a person. Nouns are often described as naming words. (person / Pronouns are short words like it, she, he, you, we, they, us and them. They are used to describe either individuals or groups of people, rather than using their name or names.). All nouns take the same ending in the future tense.
