Promotion is one of the Ps of the marketing mix (along with Product, Price and Place). It is concerned with making customers aware of a product or service.
The two main methods for businesses to make customers aware are:
- advertisingProducing paid material to inform public of a product or service.
- sales promotionA short-term marketing strategy which aims to increase sales of a particular product or a range of products.
