Set similar problems in practical contexts requiring other constructions like perpendicular bisectors or problems on finding regions, eg a mobile telephone mast is to be built in a rectangular field. It must be at least 20 m from the corner gate and at least 10 m from the boundary hedges. On a scale drawing of the field the pupils must shade in the region in which the mast can be placed.
