Speaker 1: (TO AUDIENCE) As Karima is now a qualified junior stylist she will need her own price list, so I’ll be asking her to design it.
Speaker 1: (TO OTHER PEOPLE) I’ve got a job for you today.
Speaker 2: Oh, what is it?
Speaker 1: I want you to design your own price list for me.
I want all your highlights down all your cuts down, and I want you to do this on A4 size.
Speaker 2: Can I put my own design or logo on top?
Speaker 1: Yeah, as long as you keep to the context of this shop, you’ll be fine.
Speaker 2: So you want me to put my services on a piece of A4 paper, is that correct?
Speaker 1: Yes.
Speaker 2: (TO AUDIENCE) Joel gave me a list of key points to include in my price list.
I repeated back the information to him, just so that I could make sure that I understood everything he was saying to me.
Speaker 2: (TO OTHER PEOPLE) Can you email me the prices for the services please?
Speaker 1: Yeah, sure.
Speaker 2: Thank you.
Speaker 2: (TO AUDIENCE) I asked Joel to email me back the information of the price list, just so that I could be clear on what to include.

Getting the right information

Speaker: I have received an email from Joel telling me the requirements needed for my price list.
It includes the costs and the services.
I’m also referencing the salon's own price list.
I’ve also looked online on my phone for inspiration on their layouts and their prices and costs.
I’ve gathered all the information that I can to make up a price list that’s best for my clients and for our salon as well.

How to proofread
Watch the video to find out more.
Speaker 1: (TO AUDIENCE) OK, I’m looking at the price list now and I’m proofreading it.
Just looking at the typos here, put a hyphen and a lower 'd' on 'blow-dry', and then put another hyphen on 'half-head highlights' and then, put another hyphen on 't-section'.
I’ve checked the grammar, spelling and punctuation.
It’s important to triple check a document like this because it’s the first thing that a client will see so it has to be professional and clear and right.
Speaker 2: (TO OTHER PEOPLE) Yeah, it’s really well done Karima, I really like it.
I like how you’ve spaced it all.
Everything looks really good. You’ve highlighted everything there.
I've just noticed you’ve missed a little bracket off there but apart from that it’s really well done.
Speaker 1: (TO AUDIENCE) It’s always good for someone else to proofread your documents, only because sometimes you can make mistakes that you won’t be able to see.
Speaker 2: (TO OTHER PEOPLE) OK, well done Karima, thank you.
Speaker 1: Thank you.
