Some of the promotional copy seen on BBC iPlayer has been written using the assistance of Microsoft Copilot, an AI text generating software programme. In all cases, BBC Editorial staff have seen and approved any copy before it is published on BBC iPlayer.  

All news and current affairs programmes are specifically excluded from the use of AI generated copy on BBC iPlayer.
