BBC iPlayer is available on Apple TV devices running tvOS version 12.0 or above.

Can't access BBC iPlayer on your Apple TV? Your Apple TV will need to run the latest version of tvOS to be compatible with BBC iPlayer. You can find information on the Apple Support website on how to update your tvOS. Once you’ve updated the tvOS, you’ll then be able to update and access the BBC iPlayer app. Please contact Apple if you require further information.

Please note, BBC iPlayer for Apple TV does not currently contain subtitles. If you require subtitles, please access iPlayer on another device. For example, using iPlayer on the television to which your Apple TV is connected.
