    From

Respect all the people around you.

    Everyone’s difference is special.

Speak out to adults if there are problems.

Present a good example of respectfulness to everybody.

Each and everyone is smart in their own way.

Create good friendships and be kind.

Try your very best to be respectful to everyone always.

Mrs Barrett and Kestrel year 5 class The Gateway Primary Academy, Dartford

    Remember to be kind

Everybody should be heard and listened to

Speak up for yourself or others if you have worries

Prevent arguments by staying calm and understanding

Equality means treating everybody the same

Communicate with your friends and trusted adults if things go wrong

Trust each other and treat each other fairly

  8. What would you say to help our captains end their conflict?published at 11:51 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2024

Some wonderful ideas from Hucklow Primary School, Sheffield

    • Would you like to talk about our problems?
    • Let's be calm and we can make progress
    • Could we work on things and exchange opinions?
    • Can we practice together?
    • Would you like to talk once your anger cools off?
    • Can we be respectful about our different opinions?
    • Can we agree to be respectful to each other and everyone around us?
    • I'll listen: you tell me first what you think and then you do the same for me
    • Would you like to tell me what's wrong and we can talk about it?
    • Can we forgive and go our separate ways until we are both okay? Do you want a minute to calm down then we can talk it through?
    • Would you like a conversation privately away from all these other people?
    • Let's take a breather and then calmly get together to do a restorative conference with the teacher's help
    • We can discuss our points of view respectfully so that we feel heard
