The MisShapes are divided. The boys—Geordon Nicol and Greg Krelenstein—are voting for Hillary in New York’s Super-Duper Tuesday primary; Leigh Lezark is going for Obama. “I feel like Hillary is more qualified to do the job of president,” Nicol said at the amfar benefit kicking off Fashion Week on January 31. “I think Obama is more a pretty face and a youth movement than the most qualified candidate.” But Lezark disagrees. “I think he’s very new to all this,” she said, “but not in a bad way. He’s pushed for a lot of legislation that makes sense.” She’s also not too worried about her candidate, even if Hillary beats him: “I think she’ll have Obama as her running mate. And Bill Clinton will also somehow be in the mix.” Whoever wins in November, the trio hopes they revive the economy, to keep Fashion Week interesting. “There’s nothing this year,” Nicol said. “Everyone’s fearing recession, so no one’s really planning any major parties or doing anything big. It’s a minimalist Fashion Week.”
