In He’s Just Not That Into You, Kevin Connolly wants to settle down, preferably with Scarlett Johansson’s character, but she’s not that into him. “I really related to my character, because I’m also at that stage in my life,” he says, at Peter Luger steakhouse, where he always goes when he’s in town, usually by himself (he even has a Luger charge card). When Connolly arrives, it’s all hellos and handshakes, bar stools magically vacate, and a glass of wine appears. “I want to meet a girl, have a wife, have kids. My mom is always asking me about it,” he says, over bacon. “I just bought a house. It’s definitely an adult house—a girl could potentially move in there.” He’s tried to embrace modern dating. “Everyone said, ‘Wait till you get on Facebook,’ but I haven’t met anyone on it,” he says. “It’s more just my buddy’s status updates, ‘About to watch The Biggest Loser,’ or whatever. And I’ll text him: ‘Dude, nobody gives a shit.’”
