A Fresh Kills landfill employee was seriously injured when a bulldozer ran over his feet.

Bronx City Council member Joel Rivera held a rally on the City Hall steps to protest newly appointed Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s stances on gun control and immigration.

The Glad Tidings Tabernacle Church announced it had given up its community-board–opposed plan to install a six-foot-tall cross on the outside of its building.

A man strongly resembling The Sixth Sense star (and current NYU student) Haley Joel Osment was photographed drawing a penis shape in snow that had fallen on the windshield of a parked car.

A Veselka manager said the diner will take down its “Veselkhiarascuro” mural in order to expand. Creator Arnie Charnick is auctioning the piece; he says he has received offers ranging from $500 to $5,000, not counting “drunk chicks calling me up at 2:30 in the morning.”

A man who’d robbed $1,500 from a bank was arrested when it was discovered that the note he passed a teller was written on paper containing the name of the Staten Island landlord from whom he was renting a room.
