Elie Tahari must like the fit of Rupert Murdoch and Wendy Deng’s 141 Prince Street pad. Sources close to the fashion magnate say he’s buying the 9,300-square-foot triplex loft—asking price $28 million—that Murdoch bought six years ago. Another source says Tahari’s paying about $25 million for the Christian Liaigre– designed lair. There’s a screening room, a gym, an enclosed sunroom where Murdoch liked to read the Sunday papers, a dining room that’s hosted Ariel Sharon, and a 2,700-square-foot roof deck where Russell Crowe attended a barbecue. “Everything was expensively done because we thought we would be here forever,” Deng told the Times. (Last year, the Murdochs bought a $44 million Fifth Avenue penthouse formerly owned by Laurance S. Rockefeller.) Tahari, who was unavailable for comment, currently lives in the Trump International Hotel and Tower. Murdoch declined to comment. Next: The Donald’s Private Dick
