Fashionistas are snapping up platform clogs to stomp around in this fall, but there’s hope for those who prefer their chunky shoes to be comfy: Modelista’s new, low-heeled clog, with soles made from the same high-tech foam in Tempur-Pedic mattresses. White towels look chic in the bathroom – until they meet lipstick. But for many women, dark towels can be a little too “guy.” Finally, a solution: the Urban Gypsy line from DKNY Life, with embroidered black towels that scream bohemian chic. Prices range from $13 for a wash towel to $32 for a bath towel and $125 for a shower curtain; all are machine washable.

Production of Serge Mouille’s lighting stopped with the French designer’s death in 1988. But his widow, annoyed by the knockoffs flooding stores, decided to reissue her husband’s designs, made from the original molds and tools and, in some cases, even produced in Mouille’s old workshop. Styles include table lamps, floor lamps, sconces, and ceiling fixtures. All are signed and numbered and are available exclusively from Guéridon. Prices range from $1,650 for a small desk lamp to $8,700 for a six-arm ceiling lamp. If that sounds steep, consider that the originals now fetch between $8,000 and $50,000.

You may have sworn off carbs, but try resisting Rowenta’s new toaster. With extra-wide slots to fit muffins, bagels, and more, the machine will warm, reheat, defrost, and toast whatever you desire (on one side or both). The best part: a built-in warming platform to heat up croissants, rolls, flat breads, etc. In two- and four-slot models, priced from $60 to $150.
