Agent Provocateur, $775 for 1,000 milliliters
Coriander, gardenia, and cedarwood add up to an intense combination. The limited-edition (300 only), handmade porcelain bottle should last a while—one spritz is all you need (133 Mercer St., nr. Prince St.; 212-965-0229).

Fleur d’Oranger, $250 for 3.4 ounces
Made in Tunisia from orange blossoms, L’Artisan Parfumeur’s scent is extremely light. Maybe too light—touch-ups are required throughout the day (68 Thompson St., nr. Spring St.; 212-334-1500).

Donna Karan Essence, $165 for 3.4 ounces
This new series consists of four sultry scents that can be worn alone or layered. The Jasmine is delicate enough to please even floral haters (819 Madison Ave., nr. 69th St.; 212-861-1001).

Aftelier Perfumes, $125 for .25 ounces
Blended by Californian perfumer Mandy Aftel, the Fig scent is a rich blend of jasmine and yuzu that transfers nicely from day to night. (At Erica Tanov, 204 Elizabeth St., nr. Spring St.; 212-334-8020.)

Magie, $100 for 1.7 ounces
To celebrate its 70th anniversary, Lancôme has reissued a perfume that debuted in 1950. The deep floral scent is for the mature woman who dines at the finest French restaurants. (At Saks Fifth Avenue, 611 Fifth Ave., nr. 50th St.; 212-753-4000.)

Alien, $95 for 2 ounces
A scary name and bottle, but if you liked Thierry Mugler’s Angel, then you’ll like this—it’s a slightly sweeter, mildly woody scent. We got compliments on the train with this one. (At Bloomingdale’s, 1000 Third Ave. at 59th St.; 212-705-2000.)

Miss Dior Chérie, $85 for 3.4 ounces
The strawberry, jasmine, and patchouli mixture starts out fruity but manages to avoid excessive sweetness. The girlie bottle fits the flirty scent. (At Saks Fifth Avenue.)

Euphoria, $68 for 3.4 ounces
Calvin Klein’s latest combines pomegranate, lotus blossoms, and amber for a sweet scent that’s strong enough to last all day but isn’t overwhelming (654 Madison Ave., at 60th St.; 212-292-9000).

Guess, $45 for 1.7 ounces
Pungent top notes of apple and tangerine are a bit frilly for adults, but teens buying their first scent will think it’s perfect. (At Macy’s, 151 W. 34th St., nr. Seventh Ave.; 212-695-4400.)
