Ecosave365 - February 2025

Back in January we heard from Ecosave365 customers who paid deposits for new windows, but after doing so, the price was upped and they then had huge struggles to get their money back.

At the time Ecosave365 said that a significant expansion had resulted in the company having admin issues and that it was investing in improvements to avoid a repeat of the issues we featured.
Since then lots more people have come forward who are still owed money – including 85 year old Barbara from Oldham.

Barbara was quoted £14,000 to replace all of her windows and paid a £4000 deposit by cheque. She was also asked to sign an order form which gives customers 7 days to change their minds without being charged.
The next day, after talking to her son, Barbara thought it was best to cancel and think on it a bit longer. She tried cancelled the cheque but it had already been cashed – she posted the cancellation slip but that didn’t work either. Nearly a year later Barbara is still £4000 out of pocket.

In October Allan from Cambridgeshire paid his £600 deposit part-cash-part-transfer. Just like Barbara he was cold-called. Allan also changed his mind and cancelled within the cooling off period, but he didn’t receive a refund. Allan decided to start recording his calls with the company.
Just days after our broadcast, Mike from Crewe was cold called and paid £550 deposit to replace a window. He decided to cancel but is also waiting for his money back.

We contacted Ecosave365 and it said:

Following out earlier broadcast in last month, it is committed to strengthening its accounts department personnel, improving its processes, and upgrading its computer system to ensure that it can process legitimate stage payment refund requests in an efficient and effective way.

This work continues, but has not yet been completed and it is deeply disappointed that a follow up broadcast has been scheduled so soon after the original, and without giving it the opportunity to fully rectify matters.

It remains determined to identify all appropriate stage payment requests, and deal with them as quickly as practical.

As it did with the previous refunded cases, it thanks us for bringing the case studies to its attention last week, which are currently having their stage payment return processed.
