What are you shopping for? A one-bedroom or a studio. My dad’s buying the apartment—it’s an investment.
What do you think? I go to school at Fordham—my commute right now is an hour from New Jersey—and I don’t like waking up early to get to class, so being five minutes away is a perk. I love the view … [but] the kitchen has no dishwasher, which is a concern. I don’t do dishes.

Who: Wahaab Ismailzadah, picture framer (pictured).
What are you shopping for? I’m looking for myself and a soon-to-be-wife. I just started … I’m looking for a co-op around here. I have a brother-in-law in the area and our family likes to stay close.
What do you think? To be honest with you, I’m still trying to figure out what’s good and not. I like the living room. The kitchen’s all right, I guess. It’s a little small, but I don’t cook.

Who: Jim Miranti, engineer, and Cathy Miranti, special-ed teacher.
What are you shopping for?
CATHY: We’ve been looking for a couple of years. We own a house in Connecticut and want a place close to Lincoln Center—we’re ballet subscribers.
What do you think?
JIM: It has possibilities.
CATHY: We can fix it up. We like fixing things up—not that you can’t live in this the way it is.
JIM: I would like better access to the bathroom.
CATHY: You probably have to do that walk-through thing.
