Hedi Slimane’s online journal (at hedislimane.com/diary) makes no mention of apartment-hunting appointments. But the designer—whose ultraslim suits revived Dior Homme, permanently changed menswear, and inspired Karl Lagerfeld’s 92-pound weight loss—is said to be on the lookout for a new home. A recent outing had him scouting a three-bedroom loft on Great Jones Street priced at $5.75 million. The Noho listing, represented by Prudential Douglas Elliman’s Darren Sukenik, covers 6,000 feet, so there’s plenty of space for a home atelier if he needs it.
Also downtown, party-planner-to-the-stars Colin Cowie will be hosting a May 2 opening bash for the Emory, a new limestone condo project off Fifth Avenue on West 19th Street. Cowie, who’s been searching for a new construction for ages, is so enamored with it that he bought the top two floors of the project to remake into a luxe penthouse, says his broker, Core Group Marketing’s Emily Beare.
