Here, a solution (for the containers, not the heat): a limited supply of cobalt-blue and clear vintage refrigerator jars ($60 to $175 each at Meg Cohen Design Shop, 59 Thompson St., nr. Broome St.; 212-966-3733), originally manufactured in the thirties by the Hazel-Atlas Glass Company in West Virginia. The machine-molded glass vessels are stackable and airtight and look as attractive empty as they do filled with last night’s leftovers.
