
Trusted handyman brands like Leatherman and Victorinox Swiss Army have long dominated the multi-tool market, one-upping each other with ever-tinier gadgets tricked out with ever-more- MacGyver gear. This device, however, hails from the MoMA Design Store ($25; 81 Spring St., nr. Lafayette St.; 646-613-1367)—better known for modish housewarming gifts than hardware. It’s armed with a hammer, pliers, adjustable wrench, wire cutter, file, blade, screwdriver, and twelve-piece bit set—and yet somehow still looks minimalist.
