Natalia Ponomarchuk conducts Lyatoshynsky, Skoryk & DvoÅák
Conductor Natalia Ponomarchuk makes her conducting debut with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, leading a programme of music based around central European folk tunes.
Boris Lyatoshynsky, the father of 20thâ¯century Ukrainian music, paints a contrasting picture of sorrow and heroism inâ¯Grazyhna, whilst Myroslav Skorykâsâ¯Concerto for Orchestraâ¯draws inspiration from Western Ukraineâs Carpathian Mountains.
Cellist Sterling Elliott, a BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist, also makes his debut with the orchestra, with AntonÃn DvoÅákâs legendary Cello Concerto.Â
