Update: ‘Cloverfield’ Monster Not Really the Lamisil Toenail Goblin

On Friday we noted the obvious similarity of what we thought was the Cloverfield monster to Digger, the popular toenail-dwelling Lamisil mascot. But, as our friends over at /Film point out, now that the HD version of the movie’s trailer has been released, it turns out the two look nothing alike. The real monster is actually way bigger, though far less scary. See it after the jump!

If you watch the above video carefully, you can actually see the monster’s huge leg as it does irreparable damage to an expensive-looking Manhattan apartment building. Even after the attack, we still don’t think we could afford a studio there.
