Davis, Mulroney Take Driving Lessons: Hope Davis and Dermot Mulroney sign on for the indie drama Driving Lessons, about a wife and mother who suddenly can’t remember the last fifteen years of her life, giving her troubled family a new chance for happiness. We don’t know about you, but we’ve been waiting for an unfunny Overboard for years! [Variety]

Trio Signs On for Seagull: Kelli Garner, Annette O’Toole, and David Rasche join Dianne Wiest and Alan Cumming in the increasingly interesting cast of Classic Stage Company’s new production of The Seagull. At this rate, we might have to actually go watch this thing. [Playbill]

Fogler, Sheen, Greer Go Traveling: Universal’s cheesy-sounding romance Traveler, about a widowed grief counselor (Aaron Eckhart) who finds love with a hotel florist (Jennifer Aniston), at least scores a fun-sounding supporting cast, with Martin Sheen and Dan Fogler signing on alongside Judy Greer, who will once again play the heroine’s best friend. Hey, there are worse things to be than the next Joan Cusack. [HR]

Bochco Is Back: TNT nabs a great cast, an uneven producer, and a horrible title as the network orders ten episodes of Steven Bochco’s new hour-long drama Raising the Bar, starring Jane Kaczmarek, Gloria Reuben, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, and Melissa Sagemiller as lawyers who have been friends since school but now work on opposite sides of the legal profession. Portishead Comes Up With Third: Long-absent electronica trio Portishead, who are thankfully a bit more prosaic than Steven Bochco, will release their third album, Third, on April 14. [Billboard]
