Tony Winners: ‘In the Heights,’ ‘August: Osage County’
August: Osage County and In the Heights topped last night’s Tony awards, winning for Best Play and Best Musical, respectively. South Pacific was the biggest winner overall with seven awards. From Gypsy, Patti LuPone won Best Leading Actress in a Musical, her second Tony, and Boyd Gaines (Best Featured Actor in a Musical) earned his fourth, making him the most winning actor in Tony history.
