April agrees to another session with Paul, but spends most of it in a phone fight with Kyle’s new girlfriend, Sienna. She’s furious that Kyle told Sienna she has cancer, and convinced that he knew she’d cut him off for this. She’s mad at Paul, too, after hearing that he talked to an oncologist on her behalf. Add trust issues to her tally, along with anger-induced hand tremors and intimacy-avoiding dissociation. April’s anger-covering-up-the-fear shtick is heavy-handed; Paul’s own story line is more interesting and more subtle. He’s hoping not to lose another client — and this time he’s taking notes.
