Modest Mouse has finally released the animated video for “King Rat,” which Heath Ledger conceived and had begun directing before he died. Not to give anything away, but it’s a pretty gory statement meant to raise awareness of the illegal commercial hunting of whales off the coast of Australia. We like the song, and the animation is pretty great, but this is definitely going to spoil the whale-meat sandwich we brought for lunch today.
