You can breathe a sigh of relief, zoo creatures: There will be another Surf-and-Turf Night. Another Ravioli Night. And yes, another Chicken Cutlet Night.
MTV and the original Jersey Shore cast have reached a deal for a second season of the reality show, which means Snooki, The Situation, and the gang will be back to beat up the beat and binge on ham for another summer. There is no word yet on the terms of the agreement, though it was initially reported that the original cast members were looking for $10,000 per episode.
“Our audience has fallen in love with Jersey Shore and its amazing cast who have really grown together as a family,†said Tony DiSanto, president of programming for MTV. “That bond gives the show its heart, and we’re thrilled to reunite these friends to bring fans more of what they love — laughs, love, drama and of course, GTL.â€
The show will return in the mid-late summer (only, like, seven more months, you guys!) with 12 new episodes, which means production will start soon. But instead of filming in Jersey in the winter, MTV is going to take the cast to a new mystery location. WAIT, does that mean that’s the last we’ve seen of Karma?! As Snooki would say: “Not cool.â€
