After reports out earlier this week that Sony wasn’t pleased with the final cut of Michel Gondry’s The Green Hornet, starring the unlikely trio of Seth Rogen, Cameron Diaz, and Christoph Waltz, Deadline is reporting that the film’s release date has been pushed back three weeks from its cushy Christmas slot of December 22 to Martin Luther King weekend’s January 14. The official reason for the delay is that additional time is needed to implement the film’s “3-D enhancements,” which does actually make some sense considering Gondry’s reported desire to shoot the film’s fight scenes using construction paper.
