TV Land is doubling down on Hot in Cleveland: The network has renewed its Betty White sitcom for a second season. As we suspected, TV Land is dramatically increasing its commitment to the show, ordering twenty episodes for season two — twice as many as the ten half-hours it green-lit for the show’s current run. And unlike most cable shows, which make fans wait nearly a year in between seasons, Hot in Cleveland will begin its sophomore season in January, barely four months after season one wraps in late August. While Hot has cooled a tad since its June 16 premiere brought in nearly 5 million viewers, the show’s ratings have remained strong in TV Land’s core demographic of viewers 25 to 54.
