Just days after the Swiss ministry opted not to extradite Roman Polanski to the United States comes word of the director’s first post-house-arrest project. He’ll get to work next year on his long-gestating adaptation of the Yasmina Reza play God of Carnage, about the devolution of a meeting between two sets of parents. (It just finished its Broadway run last month). Though the film will be set in New York, needless to say, it will be filmed in Europe and really test the director’s ability to portray projectile vomiting. [NYDN]
