While Ben Affleck’s acting chops have proven somewhat divisive, his directorial debut on 2007’s Gone Baby Gone was for the most part quite admired. And if his follow-up, this fall’s The Town, is as riveting and action-packed as this trailer, it looks like he’ll be maintaining that reputation. Featuring a gritty intensity similar to Gone’s (this film is also set in Boston), the clip promises lots of gun play, some weirdly omnipresent bank robbers, and an array of Boston accents, with Affleck, Rebecca Hall, and Blake Lively engaged in a love triangle. Oh, and as if more reasons to get excited about this were needed, an all-business Jon Hamm and a scrappy Jeremy Renner are in for the fun, too.
