It’s been almost three months since Andrew Garfield was cast in Marc Webb’s Spider-Man reboot, and still, no female lead has been announced to star opposite him. One complicating factor: According to Entertainment Weekly, Webb is auditioning actresses for both Mary Jane Watson (Peter Parker’s redheaded paramour played in the first three films by Kirsten Dunst) and Gwen Stacy (Parker’s first love in the comic books, she was played by Bryce Dallas Howard in Spider-Man 3), and he recently met with Emma Stone and Mia Wasikowska to fill the parts. Also, despite rumors that Sony might set the reboot in college to better suit the 27-year-old Garfield, EW claims the leads are still in high school. Just imagine that Spidey got held back a lot. [EW]
