First Weezer’s new album Hurley was a shout-out to Jorge Garcia, then it was a tribute to their new clothing line with the skate company Hurley, and then it was back to being a shout-out to Jorge Garcia. But now the band’s moved on from all that and has teamed up with a whole new surprising pop-culture entity: the cast of Jackass, who co-star in the video for Weezer’s indubitably rocking single “Memories.†It’s a grainy-on-purpose clip full of skateboarding, shirtless fat men dancing, and people getting footballs kicked in the face — and it’s pretty great. Bonus: The “Memories†line about playing “hacky-sack back when Audioslave was still rage†just reminded us of the “Say It Ain’t So†video, so here’s that too.
