John Landis, the director of The Blues Brothers, Coming to America and An American Werewolf in London, is back with his first movie in a decade with Burke and Hare, a period comedy that looks like a non-musical version of Sweeney Todd. Starring Simon Pegg, Andy Serkis, Tim Curry and Isla Fisher, it’s about a couple of old-timey British chaps who get into the cadaver-selling business, with wacky and madcap results. I’m not completely sold on it after seeing the trailer, but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt.
