Yoko Ono Played a Show With Lady Gaga, Thurston Moore, and RZA

Good news: Yoko Ono’s two Plastic Ono Band shows in L.A. this weekend — which boasted a lineup of very special guest stars, including Lady Gaga, Iggy Pop, Vincent Gallo, RZA, Kim Gordon, Thurston Moore, and Carrie Fisher — lived up to the hype. Prefix has a nice collection of greatest-hit YouTube footage, including RZA trying his hardest to figure out how the hell one is supposed to rap over Ono’s “Greenfield Morning I Pushed an Empty Baby Carriage All Over the City,†but the obvious highlight is the all-star jam on “Give Peace a Chance.†Of note: Lady Gaga yells “gays in the military†a bunch, Joseph Gordon-Levitt spins around a winged backup dancer, and Perry Farrell holds Yoko Ono’s hand. Since they seem to be happening more and more, will these random cross-genre-type situations eventually cease to be as entertaining? Probably, yeah. But that hasn’t happened yet! [Prefix]
