What’s going on with Lindsay Lohan and her intended big-screen comeback in a biopic about porn star Linda Lovelace? Let’s ask her director, Matthew Wilder, the most press-chatty man in Lohan’s life aside from her father: In July, when the actress was sentenced to 90 days in jail, Wilder said, “I am 100% behind Lindsay and can say the same for everyone involved in the production of Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story. Indeed, we are proud to have this remarkable artist work on our film.†In August, when Lohan failed her post-jail drug test, Wilder hedged a bit, saying, “Hopefully we can work this out and we are still trying to get to the bottom of what has happened.†Now that Lohan is in rehab until 2011, though, Wilder has begun putting out feelers for a Lohan replacement, he helpfully tells Radar Online: “We do have a Plan B if she cannot film Inferno. And actually we have had a great response from other people who really want the part too.†[Radar Online via Hollywood Elsewhere]
