Good news: Michael Douglas tells Matt Lauer he’s cancer-free in an interview that will be excerpted tomorrow on Today. According to Douglas, his tumor is gone, and he’ll be returning to work later this year in Steven Soderbergh’s long-planned Liberace biopic, where he’ll star opposite Matt Damon. “So you’ve allowed yourself to look that far down the road?†asked Lauer. “Yeah, oh, absolutely,†said Douglas. “I think the odds are with the tumor gone and what I know about this particular type of cancer that I’ve got it beat.†[Inside TV/EW]
