Since the 2006 sleeper success of Little Miss Sunshine, directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris have been reluctant to commit to a follow-up film, but it looks like the inspiration has come from some people with an inside track to the filmmakers: that film’s young co-star Paul Dano and its producers, Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa. The L.A. Times reports that Dayton and Faris will direct Dano in He Loves Me, which is written by (and will co-star) Dano’s real-life girlfriend, Zoe Kazan. It’s the story of a young novelist who writes about his dream girl and manages to draw her out of his imagination and into the real world.
