Michael Moore usually reserves the bulk of his ire for right-wing targets, but this time, he’s going after one of his own. TMZ reports that the documentarian is suing Harvey Weinstein for cheating him out of millions of dollars in profits from Moore’s 2004 film Fahrenheit 9/11, which Weinstein and brother Bob distributed under their Fellowship Adventure Group banner when then-parent company Disney refused to allow it to go out via Miramax. The movie grossed $222 million worldwide and became the top-earning documentary ever; Moore says the profits were supposed to be split fifty-fifty, but the Weinsteins used “bogus accounting methods” to funnel money to their own expenses, including trips to Europe via private jet.
