When last we checked in on the unusual collaborations American Express has put together for its series of live-streamed concerts, Terry Gilliam had been signed to direct a webcast of an Arcade Fire concert, despite having no idea “what this fucking thing is.†Perhaps the next high-profile installment will go a bit better: It was announced today that David Lynch will direct a Duran Duran webcast on March 23. “The idea is to try and create, on the fly, layers of images permeating Duran Duran on stage, a world of experimentation and hopefully some happy accidents,†Lynch said in a statement.
