Ryan Gosling and his Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn have gotten along so well, Gosling has almost been afraid to give joint interviews with the man. When both spoke to the New York Times at Cannes, Gosling halted a mutual lovefest by saying, “I always get nervous at this point because I’m pretty sure this is when he says he penetrated me cinematically, or I creatively lost my virginity to him, or that we made a movie baby in the backseat of my car.” Then again, theirs is a bromance where actions speak louder than words, and all throughout last week’s festival, the handsy couple turned Cannes into their own personal PDA train.
