Joss Whedon officially began shooting Marvel’s hero team-up The Avengers last month, but unofficially, he already has experience directing a Marvel movie — and Stellan Skarsgård just blew his cover. While speaking to Empire, Skarsgård revealed that it was Whedon, not Thor director Kenneth Branagh, who helmed the bonus scene that played after Thor’s closing credits. That small tag, shot a few months after Thor’s principal production, teases the story line for The Avengers; it may also have helped Whedon get his sea legs back, since his last stint directing a big-screen feature was his 2005 Firefly spinoff Serenity.
