Paris Hilton may be growing up! She issued an apology — via TMZ, natch — to Lindsay Lohan for making fun of her on Hilton’s new show, The World According to Paris. In the clip for the Oxygen show, Hilton gives a homeless woman a pair of earrings, saying, “I’ll give them to you for Christmas.” The homeless woman then thanks her and mistakenly calls her “Lindsay.” Hilton laughs and then says in a voice-over, “If I were Lindsay, I’d be stealing the earrings,” Hilton said, “not giving them away.” Later on, Hilton apologized to the legally embroiled Lohan, saying, “I apologize to Lindsay for the comment that I made. I was joking around, but it was thoughtless and unnecessary.” And then, we imagine, she giggled and gave someone the side-eye. [NYDN]
