Pop-Up Video is returning to the VH1 lineup this fall, with 60 new episodes that will “remain faithful” to the original. This new version will include rap and hip-hop videos, which its predecessor did not, but that doesn’t offset the fact that music videos are no longer as ubiquitous as they once were, nor are they televised with the same regularity. Still, there’s a generation of humans for whom that bloop bloop bubble sound elicits a deeply ingrained Pavlovian demand for ironic yet informative tidbits. [HR]
