Of the 40-plus new series coming this fall, we’ve already shown you the good. Now it’s time for the … not so good. Admittedly, judging a new show by its trailer is something akin to judging a book by its cover, but, well, if the cover was emblazoned with lame one-liners and horrible digs at women, and was tricked out with a grating laugh track, you could be reasonably sure you wouldn’t like what was inside. So here are the five shows of the upcoming season that made us sit up and say, “You needed a hit show, and you picked up this?!” May they prove us wrong — but we’re sadly pretty sure that they won’t.
