A former Molloy College softball player is claiming that her scholarship was taken away because she quoted a lyric from a Big Sean and Chris Brown song on her Facebook page. The student, Caitlin Ortiz, 19, is suing the school for discrimination. Ortiz claims that she lost her scholarship because of two Facebook posts that coach and athletic director Susan Cassidy-Lyke called “thug like comments.†In one of the posts Ortiz wrote “andd imm put this drink uppp like its my lastt†from Big Sean and Brown’s “My Last†under a picture of her posing. Along with the “typo-filled†“My Lastâ€â€“quoting post, Ortiz also blamed the school’s decision on a post in which she allegedly threatened a housemate. [RapFix/MTV]
