Carnage — Roman Polanski’s adaptation of Yasmina Reza’s 2009 Tony award-winning play God of Carnage — will open the New York Film Festival on September 30. The movie is about two Brooklyn couples (John C. Reilly and Jodie Foster on one side, Kate Winslet and Christoph Waltz on the other) who meet up one evening to discuss a physical confrontation between their children. And before you ask: No, it doesn’t feature any characters who want to kill Spider-Man. [THR]
