Somebody Stole a Picasso

Thomas Crowne, what have you wrought? (Such a bad influence, that guy.) The Weinstein Gallery in San Francisco has announced the theft of a prized Picasso, albeit one that’s pretty easy to steal: “Tete de Femme (Head of a Woman),†a 1965 pencil drawing on a piece of paper that’s close to eight inches across and ten inches tall. The suspect, who nabbed the Picasso and then hopped into a waiting cab, is being described as “a white man, 6 feet tall and 30 to 35 years old, dressed in a dark jacket and dark pants, wearing dark glasses and loafers with no socks.†Clearly, this person will stick out like a sore thumb in the art world.
